mid year update.
Jul. 11th, 2025 08:55 amI wrote a lot in the first half of 2025 so I figured I'd make an update here and indulge myself.
I posted 17 stories in the first 6 months or so, which is quite a lot! Of course some of the stories are shorter, but a lot of them weren't and I think I caused a bit of writing burnout for myself in May because of that. As it stands I've currently got 4 WIPs which I hope to post in the next coming months, so I continue to work on stuff, I just needed a bit of a break to focus on reading and other activities. Tragically, reading just lead to a bunch of new ideas I now have to write.
Some questions I took from the ao3 wrapped thing:
What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
How people find another, a 20ish thousand word m/m/m OW with kidnapping, captivity, fucked up morality and age gap relationships. I just loved the stream of conscious-ish style, the woe-is-me rich boy Rory and the charming crooks who end up kidnapping him. I liked how the backstory slowly, slowly trickled out and then turned the story on its head a bit.
What work of yours has the most hits?
Greenest where you water it, a jealous sex PWP for TK/Carlos of 9-1-1: Lone Star. I watched the whole show apart from the last season this spring and loved it! I wrote a couple of PWP and a wrestling AU and perhaps not shockingly, writing a big fandom gets you most hits and kudos. I haven't been in a big fandom since OFMD so seeing the comments and kudos pour in was shocking.
TK/Carlos is also the ship I've written the most this year so far, with five stories total.
Longest work in terms of word count
Ten different ways inside my heart, an m/m dating bet OW which clocks in at about 24k. This was such a fun story! The idea started from a random joke about boring first sentences to a fic and then grew all these tropes and perhaps one of the most oblivious characters I've ever written. I really liked this, but it also gave me hell, possibly moreso because I was also working on a 20k wrestling AU fanfic as I was writing it, and my S4S assignment story. It was just a lot, which lead to some burnout.
How many WIP’s do you have in your docs right now?
1 fanfic exchange assignment. 1 longer m/m OW with mpreg, and two other largely unfinished m/m OW stories. Excited to share them when the time comes!
